- Client: The Lost Gardens of Heligan
- Project Value: £210k
- Duration: 12 weeks
- Location: Charlestown, St. Austell
Working closely with the client and interior designers Devon Interiors we have transformed a dated eating space into a fresh contemporary restaurant. There was a clear brief to retain a nautical theme which is in keeping with Charlestown heritage, which has been achieved to perfection.
The suspended ceilings were removed, exposing in keeping timber beams above which added character and a greater sense of space to a once dark and uninviting area. High grade insulation was added to the roof line to improve thermal values as well as a top grade underfloor heating system which has vastly improved the energy efficiency of the building as well as reducing heating costs. New wall and floor finishes throughout have given the restaurant a new lease of life which is epitomised by the focal centre piece of the Log Burner. The fit out and décor is of the highest quality which is what sets this restaurant apart from the competition.
