Overview

We Are Ease is now involved on an annual basis with providing the programming, costing and then operational delivery of Watergate Bay Hotel’s ‘Winter Works’: a rolling programme of works which are conducted during the quieter period for the hotel (principally January and February), and to coincide with the hotel’s shut down period following the new year for the larger (and noisier) refurbishment activities. Planning is now underway with the next phase of this, and will likely be as equally busy as previous phases.

Works have included:
  • refurbishment of bedrooms;
  • refurbishment of bathrooms;
  • refurbishment of front of house and Kid’s Zone toilets;
  • asbestos removal works;
  • layout re-configurations;
  • creation of bin stores;
  • creation of new external shower facilities;
  • new pay station for the main car park;
  • creation of new sauna room;
  • creation of new locker area and drying room facility;
  • improvements in wall and floor acoustics between bedrooms;
  • re-vised layouts of Kid’s Zone;
  • improvements to externals (cladding; decking; glass balustrading etc.);
  • improvement to extraction services;
  • upgraded the Extreme Academy (changing rooms; toilets);
  • roof repairs;
  • creation of new balconies off premium rooms;
  • and many other!
This has been a very successful on-going programme, whereby we are re-using a valued supply chain of quality trade contractors and suppliers, and the hotel is cleverly managing and maintaining it’s high-end credentials.
