Hamblys Ltd., Launceston

Overview

We Are Ease were asked to assist with the upgrade, refurbishment and extension of the Hamblys CLAAS dealership head office on the Pennygillam Industrial Estate, Launceston. The busy agricultural machinery supplier and repairs facility had outgrown its existing industrial unit, and needed some essential reorganisation of the existing space and to increase it’s service and office areas. As part of the brief: better office layouts; introduction of more first floor mezzanine office and welfare areas; increased workshop areas; more user friendly layouts and power/comms distribution for their operational requirements; a relocated and larger public shop area; improvements of the external servicing and display areas, with new parking area, tractor wash area and storage sheds; and a complete overhaul and upgrade of the external appearance of the unit, with a new cladding system to give the overall impression of the unit as a complete new-build.

A previous contractor was already involved with the groundworks and externals, but was running over programme. Therefore We Are Ease were required to pull their scope into line with the overall construction programme, and manage the entire process with close coordination and consideration with the Hamblys staff so that they could keep their operations running as normal as possible. We Are Ease achieved the work ahead of programme, under budget, and Hamblys and CLAAS were able to have a very successful launch event. We Are Ease looks forward to working on other Hamblys outlets across the west country in the future.
