Gara Rock is a high-quality new-build development consisting of five cottages, 12 apartments, a leisure pool and spa, boutique hotel and restaurant. We Are Ease was appointed to complete the project two-thirds into its programme and formally appointed as construction managers in March 2012. Our appointment followed a three-month period in which we undertook a feasibility review of the project on behalf of the funder and principal shareholder. Prior to our involvement, the project had been plagued with issues and a victim of the recession, together with problematic early development decisions. The original developer had drawn down substantial funding two-thirds through the scheme – without securing targeted sales. In short, the project had to be handled sensitively and be completed within a finite budget and programme period. We were tasked with completing the scheme – all in readiness to sell or let cottages/apartments. We achieved all of our targets.
