Overview
A very recent phenomenon We Are Ease are becoming increasingly requested to deliver is bespoke treehouses for a number of our hotel/hospitality and leisure clients all over the country. Over the last two years, treehouses have been an exciting and very unique venture for We Are Ease, who are able to provide the required construction/project management discipline to deliver what might appear as beautiful and naпve structures in the trees, but which are in reality highly crafted, bespoke, high-end installations which are catering to a demanding market which insists on excellent detail, finish and mod-cons associated with any modern luxurious hotel room. Invariably these are commercial projects, where cost and programme are as important as any other build we manage.
These installations have been single treehouses for luxury country hotels [as our case study below], and multiple units for larger leisure facilities where the hotel market is becoming an increasingly major source of revenue. With the latter, we have delivered ambitious projects where up to 5 dwellings with magical fairy tale turreted towers, each sleeping up to 8 people in the bunk rooms and sleeping lofts [with en-suites bathrooms], would be accessed and linked to each other using decked aerial walkways and rope bridges, and with additional private decked areas with hot tubs!
Treehouse Case Study: Deer Park Hotel:
One of our latest single treehouse builds is at Deer Park Hotel, Honiton, where the stunning honeymoon retreat is nestled amongst a mature oak tree, allowing privacy for visitors from the hotel with its position within the branches, and at the same time affording stunning views across the Devon countryside.
Despite its appearance of being held within the oak, it actually stands completely independent from the tree, sitting on timber stilts which are screw piled into the ground to pin-point accuracy to avoid roots. The trees conservation was of the utmost importance during the planning and construction. Inside there is huge attention to detail within the luxurious bedroom, living room and bathroom spaces, and with a freestanding roll-top bath set within a gorgeous curved wall arrangement being a major focal point.
We Are Ease worked with numerous local skilled craftsman and considerate trades to deliver this, from the thatcher’s water reed thatch roof to the joiners intricate staircase which leads up to the decking area, to the sympathetic approach by our plumbers and electricians. It is a hideaway of perfection, and something We Are Ease are now very empowered to deliver to stunning effect in other breath-taking locations.
